Microsoft Visio Activation Guide

Follow the instructions below to activate your Microsoft Visio license. The activation method depends on the type of product you purchased.

Before You Start
  • Install the correct version of Microsoft Visio.
  • Close all Microsoft Office applications before activating.
  • Make sure your PC is connected to the Internet.

Method 1 – Online Activation (Retail)

  1. Open Microsoft Visio.
  2. Select Activate or Change Product Key if prompted.
  3. Enter the product key you received.
  4. Sign in with your Microsoft account if requested.
  5. Follow the on-screen instructions until activation is completed.

Method 2 – Phone Activation

  1. Open Microsoft Visio.
  2. If online activation cannot be completed, choose Activate by telephone when available.
  3. Select your country or region.
  4. Call the Microsoft activation number displayed on your screen.
  5. Provide the Installation ID shown by Visio.
  6. Enter the Confirmation ID provided by the automated activation system.
  7. Finish the activation process.
Important: If your purchase includes a phone activation service, follow the activation instructions supplied with your order instead of contacting Microsoft directly.

Troubleshooting

  • Verify that you installed the correct Visio edition (Standard or Professional).
  • Ensure your Windows date and time are correct.
  • Restart your computer and try activating again.
  • If activation still fails, contact our support team and include a screenshot of the activation message.
